the best make of motorbike is up to the individual who is going to ride it. if you are short and thin and enjoy speed then a small pocket rocket such as Yamaha's fzr range, or Honda's cbr range, but the Suzuki gsxr bike are top of the tree,
then if your like me I'm 6 foot and weigh in at 18 1/2 stone, i don't like race bikes because you get serious back strain when riding any distance, that why most race rep bikers seem to have a permanent stoop as their leathers get moulded into that shape. for me its got to be either a long low custom or a large muscle. my current ride is a 1983 Kawasaki spectre 1100cc. Make your own choice to suit your needs, it saves money in the long run, find out what you want to use it for and travel distances

Harley's suck - they're for middle-age old men who are desperatley trying to recapture their long-lost youth. I know this as there is a Harley dealership near Silverstone circuit that is just RAMMED with 50+ year old guys at weekends, all done up in their sad little Hell's Angel wannabe get-ups, even with top- and bottom rockers on their denims. Best bit is though, they all get dropped off by the wife in her Volvo estate or fatarse 4x4 whilse she goes to Tescos.

It's entirely up to you, and what kind of motorbike you want. I don't think anyone ever went wrong buying a Japanese bike, they've each got their own strengths and weaknesses but generally nowadays the Japanese don't make a bad bike. Harley Davidson has a place; it isn't underneath me though! If you want to be seen on a HD then buy a HD, otherwise consider the alternatives quite seriously. European bikes are all very good too, but do your research first - older models may not be as simple to live with as you might hope.Personally I ride a Suzuki; I'm happy with it.

According to the 2006 J.D. Power Survey (as seen on 'Top Gear'), it's Victory.Honda's are great bikes and very reliable, and don't cost a lot of $ to get checkups. Harley's are still my favorite bikes but I always am spending a lot more money on keeping them in top condition and always replacing belts. And harley's are the most comforabtle bikes out there.

HiI have ridden a Kawasaki W650 from 2002 and now its run in its not as vibe as it was, but if I had the money i would go for BMW as hold price well, also if i had like lots and lots of money would love a triumph rocket 111. How do I answer? You din;t tell me how big you are, whether you are going to ride just in summer...Personally I own a Yamaha, reliable as hell only a 600 but carried myself and my partner to Croatia and back with all our luggage in comfort with no problem.
