How fast does a 1981 Yamaha XS400 go?

I have this bike, but truly how fast does it actually go. I was thinking of getting another bike, but the insurance on this is pretty affordable, but I'd prefer a sportbike. I was looking to see how much speed difference does it make.

I have a 1983 Golwing 1100. Are Maxxis Classic tires as reliable/durable as Dunlop 491 Elite II's?

As fast as most would ever want to go on a standard. I would guess that if you are "hunkered down" to reduce wind pressure, you could go at least 90mph. Seriously, this is faster than you would want to go on this bike.
The sportbike will have better aerodynamics, so it will be better at speed.
Odds are if you go that fast or faster often, you will get some tickets, and your insurance will go through the roof.
I would keep the XS400 until it blows up;)
