Im buying a motorcycle soon. what should I get?

Question:
Ive never had a motorcycle, havent driven one. I just want something small, easy to handle and cheap. My friend says a NINJA is a decent bike, and cheap. I also need to learn how to ride one first? Do they have classes for that?

Where is the oil plug on a honda 2001 xr 200?

I'd recommend the Kawasaki 250 Ninja. I ride one 'cause it's fun, gets great mileage and I don't have to tear up my R1 1000 or my Harley 1203. A 250 Ninja will pull a grade at 90 with ease. Once they are "on the pipe" they barely notice a hill. And they will go in excess of 100MPH. They'll beat a stock 883 sportster in handling, speed and economy. 70 MPG. The current 600's have better suspension but until you are really comfortable riding the EX250 is a more economic route. You can buy a lot of performance goodies for a 250 Ninja. You can find parts easy. And easy to maintain. The people on here that bad mouth them obviously don't own one. Nor do they appreciate the joy and fun that riding a small displacement bike can bring. A 600-1000 could cost you a couple thousand bucks cosmetics to repair if you lay it down and a whole EX250 is only 3. Take the MSF classes as have been suggested.

Is there any 2 stroke petrol engines?

i'm planning to taking motorcycle lessons soon aswell, i don't know much about motorcycle makes/brands though :(

Air filter?

Kawasaki makes great bikes...go with the Ninja, but start off with either a 500cc or 600cc. Definitely look into a state sponsored motorcycle safety course or a private certified program. They teach everything from basic balancing to advanced riding techniques. Most of these classes are about 2-3 days and cost only a couple hundred bucks, but are well worth it.

Can i put a motorcycle engine in a go kart?

You can get a Suzuki GXR, Yamaha R6, or Honda CBR...600cc..all of these bikes are good, that's why you see most people riding either one of these more than anything else.. and Yea they do have classes...they even provide the bikes.check your local DMV.

Are dirt bikes safe for teenagers ?

You may want to start even smaller than that. Like a scooter. They are fun too.

I cant get a spark to the plug on a peugeot speedfight 2 motorcycle. any suggestions?

Depends what you want to do. If you are thinking about a cruiser I would suggest a Suzuki Savage or a Kawasaki Vulcan 500. If you want to start really small the Kawasaki Eliminator 125 is a nice bike but cannot be ridden on highways.

Okay last time I promise...Help me out with this please!?

If you are looking into Sport-bikes the Ninja 250 is nice. You may want to check into a Buell Blast. The Buells handle exceptionally well. They are very well made and are fast enough for a beginner.

How can i increase the mileage of my 2 wheeler?

If you are looking for a Dual purpose (Road dirt) you can't go wrong with a Suzuki DR200. I had one and it was alot of fun.
Yamaha also makes a TT225 that I hear is excellent.

Is there any good sites for ATV tires pretty cheap?

I have a 97 883 Sportster. Under fuel tank, right side, rear-ish, a hose is coming out?

Take the MSF class first.

Honda cub90?

Try your best to find a buddy with dirt bikes so you can wreck a few hundred times and not get hurt. If you can learn to stop, start, skid, slide, jump and not kill yourself, you are ready for a street bike.

What octone gas should i run in my stock 2002 raptor 660r?

Not to burst your bubble, but you usually only get on chance to wreck a street bike before you become an organ donor.

What is 2 stroke in spanish?

I like cruisers and Harley's best. The choice is yours.
Don't waist time with anything under 600cc.

Can someone tell me why my moped wont start?

Take the MSF course they even provide you with a bike. Riding a low powered dirt bike for practice was a good answer. Since you said ninja I assume youre more interested in sportbikes than cruisers. I would suggest a ninja 250 vtr250 or maybe ex500 or gs500. You did say cheap right? You can get all those used for a decent price. You dont need as a total rookie a 600 supersport with 100HP, thats a good way to end up scared or hurt. Use some of your money for good gear and wear it always, jeans rip off like paper and stuff thinner than that even quicker.

I have trouble in the morning starting my explorer?

Many people say you have to learn to ride a bike first. You don't have to be able to ride a bicycle to learn how to ride a motorcycle. There are some things that you do with a bicycle that if you applied the same thing to riding a motorcyle you will wreck. Forget learning to ride a bicycle first. Here in PA they offer free motorcycle safety course and provide motorcycles for the course, They are 250's and most of them are Honda Shadows. These are good training cycles and are not very expensive. They start out teaching you the trip precheck through to avoiding hazzards on the road. We had 5 people in our class who have never driven a motorcycle, one of which never even been on a motorcycle before. Everybody passed the four day class and received their license. Try a smaller bike and work your way up until you become more experienced. However, if this will be your first bike buy used and pay cash, get the experience of riding before moving up to bigger and more expensive bikes. I have had friends who bought big bikes like Goldwings and rode only a few times then selling them at a loss because they weren't ready for a big bike. Nothing wrong with starting small and working up to bigger later on. In fact the smaller bike will normally sell quicker when you are ready to move up, then use the money for your next bike.

Arctic cat atv?

Take the course first, the Motorcycle Foundation Safety course, before you buy your motorcycle.
After that, well, Ninja 500 is definitely on my list of decent and not too expensive. It's not really a sportbike, it's just a somewhat updated Kawasaki EX500 with more plastic fairings on it.
But -- go to a dealer and sit on some of the motorcycles. You might prefer the cruiser (Vulcan 500) instead, or even some other motorcycle altogether.
