At around 10pm last night, i was waiting at a stoplight next to an SUV at an empty intersection. I was riding my gsxr 750. I was bored so I was making direct eye contact with the driver just to mess with him. Then I reached into my jacket, I just had to scratch an itch. Suddenly the guys eyes widened a little and he took off straight through the red light. I thought it was pretty funny. Do I look like a mobster? Or are people just afraid of bikes?

Duh, the Bikers of the 60's have made it extremely hard for biker's today. If you wear leathers, or have tats and ride a bike, you are sterotyped as a BAD boy. I ride, and about 7 yrs ago. I hopped off the back of my ole man's bike at work, got stopped at the employee's entrance by a security guard, and was told I would have to go thru the visitor's entrance for security purposes. I had been working at the place for 5 years. I flashed my work badge and headed in the building, the security officer followed me all the way to my desk. I ride with a well known, large, multistate 1% outlaw motorcycle club. The difference between you and me is.well, I'm a biker and you are not. It sounds to me like you are looking for trouble or trying to prove to yourself that you've got a big johnson. I know what people who are backed into a corner, or made to fear for their lives, are capable of. I deal with this misdirected fear on an almost daily basis and, in most cases, try to defuse it with nonthreatening body language. Most definitely when I am alone, at night and on an empty road. You did nothing but perpetuate a stereotype that most REAL bikers get very tired of dealing with. Your lucky the dude didn't back up and run your *** over. I, and my kind, consider that type of aggressive eye contact to be, at the most, a threat and at least disrespectful enough to earn you a good ***** slap. I have a Club Brother that wears a t shirt on occasion that says on the front, "Go ahead and do something stupid, I need another felony conviction." That about sums that up. What I do know my friend, is that if you had played your little game with me, at the time and place that you did it, you would be picking your *** up off of the ground, wiping the little girl tears out of your eyes and visiting your dentist in the morning. Most people are not afraid of sport bikers. Not unless they drive a yellow model and carry a ninja sword at least.Some people are just plain afraid of everything.
Most Harley riders are also very nice people.
If you want to perform a test I would drive up on your sport bike and knock over one of the Hell's angels bikes and then say, "F-OFF your bike sux!" And see if he is scared. If so, then you truly have mastered the ability to terrify almost anyone.
