I didn't realise it was POSSIBLE to drive without one?!?!?!?Did Ricky Carmicheal retire if so who do you think the best in motocross is?
If it snaps at handlebar end, then you can re-route the cable and use it on hand pull...Not easy but it got me home from Derby one night (about 80 miles) . The joys of being a bikerbloody near impossible i would say and do it safely
who was the best motocross racer of all time?
Yes I have done it before... it is tough. One hand on the handle bar and one on the carborator... I couldn't use the front brake because my hand was on the throttle. I thought i was going to crash. However they are easy to fix. Make sure to lube your new one so it doesn't happen again.Hey, at least it wasn't your clutch while you were stuck in first gear! Throttle cables are pretty common problems.
where is the best place to advertise an all women motorcycle assocation?
it happened to me luckly late at night so no traffic but it is very hard managed to get homewire or string out the window ?
What you should have done is adjusted the throttle stop screw so the engine was reving around 2000rpm, then control the bike/car using clutch and brakes, the distance you drove would have been easy using this method. Hope this helps if you are unlucky enough to have the problem again.

how much of a difference is there in between a 250cc and a 600cc motorcyle?
My '78 Wing has a enricher hooked into the choke. When my throttle cable broke I merely pulled the choke out and it ran about 2-3000 rpm. It still wasn't much fun but safer then using the cable because you have no control over how much throttle you give the bike. If you don't have an enricher you could always adjust the idle up and nurse it home that way.Any famous Lambretta scooter owners, as far as you know?
Yeah, Modern bikes are bloody awkward, old oes like 1970 BSAs and Triumphs had kill buttons you could push to stop the engine so if you jammed the throttle half open with a pair of mole grips or something you could ride quite easily, the Jap on off switch is too awkward for this, The kill switch was actually for flat out up changes, pull the gear lever firmly up, keep the throttle wide open and prod the button, suddenly the gear lever moves upwards and you are in the next gear. Japs thought it was to stop the engine when you got fed up with it ticking over,Where's the cheapest place on the internet I can get a 1990 Honda VFR 750 FL clutch lever?
ha ha lol thats had me in stiches rolling around on the floor thanks for the two pointsH-D has 2 cables (1 to pull open and 1 to pull closed) when you brake the cable to open the throttle, just switch the cables on the carb (or throttle body) and twist backwards to drive home
