Mikey seems to be the only person on that show that knows the show is a joke. Sometimes he cracks me up. Who cares if he is a pole smoker, there ain't nothing real about the show anyway. Anyone with a large budget, a few cataloges and a line on a good painter can bolt together a much nicer scooter than anything those morons turn out..for half the cost.
The only episode that I enjoyed was the tribute to Dave Mann. Dave was an old school tramp that rode with a club called the El Forestero's. I had the privilege to party with these fellas on a run through Minnesota, back in the 70's. Dave started doing paintings for Easy Rider magazine before it turned into a yuppie piece of ****. In the old days, Harley wouldn't advertise in Easy Rider because they thought it was bad for their image. Today, I won't buy Easy Rider cause I think it is bad for MY image! Just some interesting old trivia. Anyway, American Choppers is a prime example of powerful money men, sitting in board rooms, trying to shove down your throats what they think bikers are all about. I have much more respect for some kid that put together a scooter a little at a time, painted it himself and has the heart to proudly ride it in all weather (even if the bike doesn't look all that well built) Then some prima donna that has a few black Harley shirts to wear on the weekends, trailers his shiny $60,000.00 custom built motorcycle everywhere and usually gets punched in the eye after he gets a few shots under his belt trying to impress his girlfriend, and those around him, how much of a tough guy he is.

Dynojet with standard pipes??

It is Partner as in "Partner in Crime". This doesn't mean criminal either, it's just a figure of speach. They are friends who work together and also have fun together. They aren't just co-workers. Mikey likes to do crazy things and sometimes gets into trouble and he likes to have a partner in crime to share their adventures. Nothing wrong with this. It just a friendship wihout using the word Buddy since in New York "Buddy" has become a word meaning more than just a friend.
