Looking to buy a soumy helmet no stores around here carry them does anyone know how their sizes run compared to other brands (Shoei, Arai, etc)

I wouldn't buy a helmet On line without trying it on first. Measuring your head is only going to get you half the story. It depends also on the shape of your head. Try before buying. The size of one brand might not suit your comfort in another.

When you are selecting the size and your are on the fence between two sizes go with the smaller size. The helmet should be tight to prevent head shake at speed. It also prevent it from lifting at speed. The pads will break in over 2-3 weeks and form to your face.

dont compare to an arai as an arai has some different shapes to fit the most prevelent head shapes buy the arai you will be happier. If I remember right the soumy fits a round head best
