It is a very straightforward job when you are looking at it, but the ridiculously tight access makes it very time consuming! I almost think it would have been easier to pull the throttle bodies and airbox to get better access to the CCT.
Anyway if you are installing an auto CCT, follow the directions in the service manual to install. You need to retract the bolt before you put the auto CCT back in!
For a manual CCT, tighten the adjustment bolt by hand until you start feeling resistance, back out a turn or two, and turn the engine on. You should hear the cam chain rattling... you will know the sound when you hear it. If you don't hear anything the bolt is probably too tight, loosen the bolt until you hear the noise. Once you hear the cam chain noise, keep tightenting the bolt until it goes away, and then back out about a quarter turn. While holding the bolt with your hand, rev the engine over the entire RPM range to make sure there is no chain noise. Then tighten down the locknut and put some threadlocker on it. Ask the people on cbrforum.com if you run into any problems!

How about buying a Haynes or Clymer Manual?--Remove the bolt at the end of the tensioner.
--Remove the old tensioner.
--Clean the gasket surfaces.
--In the end of the tensioner where you removed the bolt, there's a slot for a screw driver.
--Turn it to wind up the tensioner, then hold the screw driver from turning.
--Bolt the tensioner to the motor with a new gasket.
--Remove the screw driver.
--Install the end bolt.
--Turn the motor by hand to make sure the cam chain didn't jump.
--If you feel any resistance, a valve might be hitting the piston and the cam timing will have to be re-adjusted.
