I just got a new battery for my 1974 Honda CB550 four. The instuction seem like rocket science to me. I thought I was going to be able to just throw in the new battery and ride off. Now I have all these complicated steps. Its a 12N9 4B1 battery. The battery acid is seperate in the box. What am I supposed to do? I have never worked with BATTERY ACID before and it freaks me out a little bit. What should I do?

Fill the battery to the line on the side with the acid. Let it sit for about an hour. Charge the battery, at 1 amp for 10 hours, or 2 amps for about 4-5 hours. Any 12 Volt charger with a low charge rate will work. After charging, check the level in the battery. Install the battery in the bike.
