Question:
I would like to buy an easy riding machine for my boyfriend that we can ride on long distance trips that will not hurt my back. I had back surgery and need to be careful of back fatigue. Can you suggest the best model for us? He is an experienced rider but I am not.H ELP!
Answers:
Wind shield, stereo, hard bags and for you a cushy seat with back and arm rests.
One could easily ride cross country on the Road King.
There are other models that can be set up for touring, but the Road King is the one Harley builds for touring.
What motocross should I get next out of KTM, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki or Yamaha?
Anything in the " Soft tail" series. Road King, Fat Boy, ect.Road King is a great choice, also any of the cruisers, Ultra Glide, etc.
I own a Wide Glide and would not recommend it to anyone with a bad back.
If I had back surgery I would honestly look at a Honda Gold Wing. They are much smoother riding and far more comfortable for the passenger. You can get one quite a bit cheaper than the Harley cruisers too, and they are very good bikes. I owned one a few years ago.
What do i need to get a motorcycle permit? i am over 15 1/2. i already have my driving permit?
Though I own a Kawasaki, as you can tell by the name, I have friends with Harley's and have a friend who is a Harley salesman. The Road King or similar models sound like the way to go for more comfy two-up touring. However, the gentleman who suggested the Goldwing is likely correct, it is most likely more comfortable and refined. Harley's are cool and have that distinctive sound, if they,a.handled like sport bikes, b. weren't so slow(my Z750S will whip any stock Harley ever made in top end and acceleration, plus run circles around them in corners)though I realize for you, cruising in comfort is the deal, and c.weren't so bloody spendy, I'd own one because I like them, even so. The Honda is quiet, where H-D's have that sound, but I suggest under the circumstances, you might want to check both ways. The Ultra classic is the grand daddy of them all, as far as luxury goes. It has no style, but it would be comfortable. A HD isn't really a purchase that you just go out and by for a boyfriend.
I would not recommend buying him a harley at all. Those bikes are uber expensive and if you don't have his opinion on the bike you might spend 30,000 on his second choice. Goldwings are comfortable but you join the ranks of the retired traveler. It might sound odd but I would recommend a BMW R1200GS. This bike is a sport touring bike with offroad capabilities. The reason I would recommend this bike vs. any other is because of the offroad suspension. The bike was designed to be comfortable offroad so imagine how well the shocks are going to absorb every pothole and bump onroad. With your back surgery any bump can leave you in pain and with this bike you don't really feel bumps. Also this bike has better acceleration and top end than a harley and the great part is your husband can jump offroad whenever he feels like it.
How do i do a wheelie on a bike ?!?
cheapest of the touring line: electra glide standard. then road king, then ultra classic in price.Ahnyone know the model of a yamaha blaster?
Since you want to buy a Harley, I will suggest a Goldwing or a BMW..just kidding. If your back is an issue, you will probably want to go with a touring bike (Road King, Electraglide, Road Glide) set up with a tour pack. That will give you a nice back rest and a place to rest your elbows.what a great GF...buy him (and you) a 07 Road King...big and comfortable ...you may want to invest in a "after market " seat...there are better seats available
Get a road King, or you can go onto the Harley Davidson website, and look under parts and accessories. Then go to the seat section and see what bikes offer the high back seat with padded arm rests. Or visit a Harley dealership and browse. You can get a salesperson to let you sit on the back of any of the models that are on display, and you can judge for yourself which is the most comfortable and has the most support for your back.
Motorcycle frame VIN stamping (legal answer please)?

i have an '04 Road King Custom and i love it. it fits me perfectly and is really comfortable.Has anyone successfully installed a electric supercharger on their motorcyle?
in fact, i wouldn't trade it for any TWO ricers or euros.
dont buy a harley they vibrate to much an will hurt your back. and they are bad bikes. go japanese. any one there all good
Wich motorcycle tire is better for high speed the shinko r003rr or the bridgestone bt015r?
3 back surguries here, 2 steel rods, 6 brackets, 6 u-joints and 6 screws.. and 20 years on a harley i think i qualify to field this one. firstly the comment from someone about harleys bein bad bikes, go jap. well i can tell ya to go somewhere lol i ride a 93 ci shovelhead wide glide and take it cross country, not a problem, have quality forward controls installed, i am 6'4" tall and these make for comfort. buy footpeg stirrups, will hold your feet better which causes less stress on your body. the vibration is actually good for my back but it is the deep chuckholes that will get to you, buy progressive shocks, the best. a great sportbike is a wideglide and it is stylish, i am not a spring chicken but i am not ready to go to the "old mans" bikes yet which are the garbage barge dressers and road kings... now no offense intended and these are ultra comfortable but they don't look so good... personal opinionMy wife has back problems and it was suggested that I buy a Goldwing so she would ride with me more often, it worked! I also own a Harley Sportster so if it is just me riding I don't have to lug out the big bike. I have been shopping around also and will eventually move up to a road king or electraglide.
I am 6 feet high what dirt bike should i buy a 200cc or 150cc?
