What year is the bike? I had a 1976 Yamaha DT100 in 1980. At that time all the DTs were 2 stroke with a reserior that injected oil I believe it was under the seat. So fill up that reserior with 2 stroke oil and off you go. You should smell and see some oil. It's 20 to 1 ratio from the reseroir.If it;s some later or very new model, well you could tell by the sound of the engine. If it sounds like a two stroke and you have no oil in the gas well you won't hear it for too much longer if you keep running it. Enjoy!
