Question:
situation: moderate to fairly heavy traffic typical of in a small city. road is 2 lanes each direction with a turn only lane. what thing(s) can u do to keep from becoming a cager's next hood ornament and getting home in 1 piece?
btw, i will know if u actually ride or not based on the answer. this is to see how much u actually know on staying alive in heavy traffic...and maybe even educating those that so far, have actually been riding on borrowed time. 10 pts goes to the best/correct answer. <G>

IPod use while riding a motorcycle? UK?
i ride to the left lane, always keeping a nice cushion between me and the car ahead, and each and every time i see a car in the turn lane, i check my mirrors, and cover the clutch and brakes.just in case this moron is the 1 that doesnt see me.i never hang around a car's blind spot, and i never allow myself to get boxed in in a situation like that. i prefer to keep at least 2 car lengths of space, and try to think up possible escape paths if needed. i also keep a close eye on my mirrors, just in case i have to clamp down on the brakes; do i hold on the brakes to full stop, or do i do a quick brake to slow down a bit, and put it into a hard swerve? not healthy to just clamp down on the brakes with a car driver that's tailgating.instant crunch time from behind.

Where can i find photos and videos of indian women riding motorcycles and scooters?
in Australia we drive on the left..
I sit behind a car in front...in the lane closest to the gutter of the road.. but closer to the center line of the road..
This allows me Max time & distance to see vehicals coming in from each side of the road.
It also allows me the option of swerving around the car in front if he locks up for some reason.

What is the best 250 road bike?
Well, I like to get there so I switch lanes a lot and drive by sight ahead of where I am anticipating anything coming at me, including those big bugs in the summer. Of course staying on the farthest lane away fm oncoming traf is a no-brainer. Most shoulders are there to avoid trouble,or wait for repair because there is trouble, and get out of the way if trouble comes.Headlights on but most bikes have that as default, wear clothes desighned to be seen in un less u like black. U can always stay UNDER the speed limit and obey all the rules.

well the first thing on a motorcycle in any situation is see and be seen, and let the other motorists know what your gona do if your turining, give them enough warning, but not too much otherwise they will just think of it as "he left the blinker on, what a dork" and ride defensivly, dont let the other cars creep up on you, dont let them push you out of your space, its your road too, but be cautious, and stay alert to any changes in trafic, road, ect.Where can I buy a wheelie bar for a GSXR 600 03?
I always am in the left side of the lane I'm in, 1st because you don't want to ride in the oil and junk in the middle of the lane and second if your on the right side some knuckle head will try to pass you in 1/2 the lane. At the next stoplight, use the left-turn lane (carefully) to get to the front of the pack, then use acceleration to stay there, between clots of cages.I ride on one wheel between the cars while I have my ol lady hold my beer.

Stay closer to one side of your lane, and keep out of the right lane unless you plan on turning right. How long does it take to get your motorcycles license?
Keeping close to the lines instead of the center allows you to see farther down through traffic and anticipate situations better, and if something does happen it is easier to split the lanes as a last ditch effort to save your bacon.
What happened when you crashed?
People never use their signals, and there's always some schmuck behind you on the phone, so being in the right lane increases your chances of having to stop fast for the former making a sudden turn and being crushed by the latter. The inner lanes move along smoother, and there is also less of a chance of being hidden by another car turning left from the opposite direction.

Is there a school that teaches u to ride a moter motorcycle in Detroit ,Mi?
Number one is to stay alert and watching the traffic around you, those in front and in back. And having a continuing/evolving 'escape route'.I tend to want the left lane more- a bit less worry about cars merging/turning onto the road or wanting off.
Still need to watch for folks coming across from the center turn lane, or folks who don't think a bike has a legal right to a full traffic lane. Avoid riding off a car's quarterpanels. Blind spot for them means dead spot potentially for you! Change your position inside that lane "Use the entire lane". If you keep to just one side of that lane folks are going to interpret that as an invite to share with you. Best to ride slightly to either side of that center 'grease track', but vary within it to take up the lane better.
If you come to a stop sign, watch your mirrors to be sure the car behind you is going to stop before hitting you. Keep your bike in first gear and be ready to move in case the car behind isn't going to stop in time. That split second to slam it into gear and vacate your spot could be too much time. Always consider yourself invisible to the cagers! How many times has the cager told the officer "But I didnt see the bike"?! Even if they look directly at you, the eyes may see but the brain doesn't process!!
ATV Dune Riding? I know about Kermit, TX, but???
You can't have a straight through lane as this would eliminate left turns for vehicles coming in the opposite direction. I drive on the right. By the way I do not like the term "Biker" and you don't ride in the center of the lane that's where the oil is.I would ride on the inside lane, as to not have to stop and change lanes every time someone needs to make a right hand turn, I also would make sure there was enough stopping space all around me
When riding on freeway, I'm scared of wind blowing me off, is it what you wear that helps this??
I would ride in the left lane of the side I am traveling on. Always stay in the center of your lane or some cars will try to share your lane with you. Keep a good watch on both mirrors to see if you are able to quickly move one way or the other if someone does something stupid and watch the road for retreads and other objects. Is the yamaha yz250f a reliable bike?
