You have to be very careful with what you use to clean it and polish it because some chemicals with damage the plastic. To clean it, I would use soap and water with a soft cloth. If you have road grime or bugs that are being a pain, use fresh Coca-Cola or 7Up as a cleaner, you'll be amazed.
