you need to give more details in your question. racing or hot rodding will wear out a tire in a day. some can go 5,000 or 10,000 miles touring or cruising. what type of bike, what tire, and what style riding you do all determine the mileage life of any tire. You can get help from the Motorcycle Tire Changer at http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-t...
WHat is better a Yamaha or Kawasaki sports bike?

i had total elec. failure on my 99 yamaha roadstar 1600 any idea where the main fuse is located?
The size and weight of the bike and your riding style determine the wear on the tire. I rode a Honda Valkyrie (1500CC) for four years and put tires on it at approximately 6,000 - 7,000 miles. My wife rode with me quite often and I don't race around and smoke the tire or ride other than in a nice, easy fashion. I would occassionally open it up a bit but not too fast. I would normally cruise at about 75MPH and the bike felt good at that speed. For your information, if you get a flat on a bike, the shop will not repair the tire. They will only replace it with new. So for your saftey and comfort, check your tires often, be aware of your surroundings and have a reputable shop do your maintenance and tire evaluation if you are unable to do so. Be safe and enjoy!AM I too big for a motrocycle?

I usually get 5-6k on Dunlop Touring Elites on my HD Lowrider.I ride on alot of roads that are called chip and sealed that are basically gravel glued down with tar.I think on regular pavement they would last a little longer.Whenever it needs it....if you value your life. I just changed out my ducati's rubber at 4200 miles.
Look at the center, mc tires are rounded and spend 85% of their time in the middle, the edges depend on how agressively you corner.
If you ride on two wheels and cant afford new tires you need to park it and go back to your cage.
