most reg/recs are attached with two bolts to either the right or left side of the frame. have found the odd one mounted under the battery box. try seeing where the wires will reach to comfortably and look for threads or mountings with the correct spacing. it'll be hidden behind the plastics and should be mounted with rubber mounts. failing that, find a local dealer and ask. gotta say though unless you check out your ignition pick ups are okay and the reg/rec is okay you might be giving your bike a new battery just to get another week out of it. find someone with a multimeter/ visit a college bike course and pick there brains people are normally helpfull if you go about it the right way.Where is motorcycle riding heavy in new york?
ithink it should be attached to the framebuying exhaust for 1977 honda ct125?
The regulator should bolt on to the side of the frame but you want to check that it works correctly as a bad battery will damage the regulator which in turn damage the new battery fitted. If the regulator is faulty you should change both battery and regulator.I'm buying a 1999 Kawasaki Vulcan 750- is 31K too many miles?
I'm not familiar with that bike. In the area where the rectifier is hanging, is there a flat blade of metal welded to the frame pointing up? The rectifier could be mounted in a rubber boot and the boot would have a hole that hooks onto that flat blade of metal.More Questions & Answers ...
