edit: don't listen to vf29... he doesnt know what he is talking about. I was pretty underwhelmed the first time I rode on a 600. Almost everyone I know who rides started on a 600. the people who went smaller quickly sold the bike to get a bigger one. The front wheel is not going to come off the ground by accident on a 600. Also, you are not going to loop the bike by accident on a 600; the engine is not powerful enough for that.
