Question:
my boyfriend rides a kawi dirtbike, and we go camping at sand dunes so he can ride. I want to ride too, but I don't want a bike, I would feel more comfortable on a quad. I've never ridden before though, but I don't want to buy something that would be laughed at out at the dunes. any advice would be great!
Answers:
hey i learned on a kawazaki big bear 250 was real easy and if i can drive 1 then im sure u could ;-)
Whats the monthly budget of gasoline for a motorcycle?
if you have never ridden you should get an automatic, try a polaris scrambler or trailblazer, you can get a used scrambler for not too much, 500cc and 4 wheel drive but fast enough to ride in the dunesHas anyone heard of Yamoto motorcycles? What is their reputation? Are their dirtbikes worth buying?
It really depends on what type of riding you are going to do. A yamaha blaster will pull you around just fine and it is small, lightweight and inexpensive. Don't worry, no one is going to laugh at you. If they do... they are A holes anyway. If you do alot of sand riding you'll probably need paddle tires.Honestly though, I would get a dirt bike and learn how to ride it. You can get one cheaper and repairs and maintenance is cheaper since there are only 2 tires instead of 4.
Also, dirt bikes might seem scarier but they are more dangerous. Quads are heavy and when you crash one, it's very common for them to land on you or roll over onto you.
I ride both and feel that my dirt bike is way safer. When I crash, I go one way and the dirt bike usually ends up somewhere else.
Why won't my motorcycle tire turn left?
yamaha banshee would be best if you dont want to be laugh at and you would be faster than your boyfriend unless e rides a 500Bajaj Pulsar 200 DTSI or Royal Enfield Thunderbird?
If you know how or can learn how to drive a clutch i'd go with a Honda 400ex or maybe the Kawasaki KYZ400. But whatever ya get be sure to put a good set of sand tires on it.More Questions & Answers ...
