Question:
... help, I've got a full driving licence, I took and passed my test on a motorbike in 2000 but... after taking my CBT and a direct access course to pass it & ride any bike I wanted... I didnt send off my pass certificate to the DVLA to update it ? and remember at the time something about 2 years ! not sure what that was though. I rode a 600cc bike for approx 12 months, just affording the insurance but the second year's insurance was to expensive & I haven't rode since...
What do i need to do to get back on two wheels ? or what can i ride legally now ?
thanks

Yamaha wr250, is it a good reliable bike?
I'm afraid that you'll have to re do the CBT and test again. You only have 2 years to send off the pass certificate otherwise it becomes void and you have to start the whole process again. I'm not entirely sure what you can ride, but if you contact the instructor that you did your last test with, they'll be able to tell you.Wht is the Best Bike in Market?
You may have to check the DVLA website but I'm fairly certain that if you did not send your certificate off which stated you could ride what you wanted you may have to re-sit that test as the certificate will have a time limit on it the same as a driving test pass certificate.Anybody know where I can get a front axle for a 05 or newer GSXR 1000?
I'm sure you will still be able to ride the 600 cc bike as your licence will still cover you for this
Cheapest Sport Motorcycle to insure?
I always the examiner sent off your details to the DVLA to update your licence, the pass certificate is just for your records and to produce if asked for it, while you are waiting for your updated licence. You could always ring the DVLA and ask them.
I want to get a motorbike licence but i don't really know how to go about it?
I DONT KNOW CAN YOU? there are so many regulations now.. contact your local DVLI they will tell you for sure or contact your Citizens advice officeI hear yes and no's for a gsxr 750 being an ok beginner bike. What are your thoughts?
u might have to do a retest. not familar with uk's rules, but in the states, after u get ur endorsement, ur legal to ride bikes for life unless u specifically drop the bike endorsement. btw, sport bikes are more expensive to insure than cruisers. if ur driving record is clean, and ur 25 or over, ur insurance company might give u a better rate on a cruiser instead of a sport bike.As neonbabe said, you will have to redo your cbt, theory test and practical test, all 3 documents are only good for 2 years. Glad you reminded me as i passed 18 months ago and still haven't sent off the pass certificate either.

A question for Harley-Davidson owners...?
Why on earth didn't you send your test pass off? Sorry but you are back on a moped, you will have to take your CBT and test again.More Questions & Answers ...
