Also known as the Dragon's Tail. It's an 11 mile streach of road with over 300 curves. My boyfriend and I are going in the next couple months. I just wanted to hear some stories.

a bud on harley chat group is about a couple hours away from the gap, and he has said it's a very fun road to ride, but its also an unforgiving road with no guardrails...mountain on 1 side, drop-off on the other. u wont have any problems if u ride sane, and never take ur eyes off the road. it's rare but, some semi's take a wrong turn and wind up trapped having to negotiate the dragon's curves. be prepared for anything, especially sport cars that think its their own 'indy 500'.
BE CAREFUL there are always people wrecking on that road its very curvy and not for the inexperienced take it easy

There are a number of video clips there under various names, some with cars, some with bikes, and many showing crashes caused by idiots riding way over their heads. You better watch your speed too. The cops are really clamping down this year on speeders through the dragon. 35MPH will be strictly enforced. Go too fast over that and you will lose your bike & license on the spot is the word going out lately.Trouble poppin a wheely on a dirtbike. Anybody got answers?
It's a pretty good ride. Like was said though, the cops are looking at it really hard lately. To many sportbikes taking it to hard and wrecking. Visit the "Tree of Shame" at the store on the end. It has parts of bikes hanging on it from wrecks. While you're there, you need to ride the Cherohara parkway. The Dragon was great fun, as was the Cherahola Skyway. Make sure you do that one too. Heck, all of the roads in the area were fun!
