Question:
I have a 1976 Honda CB 500t. The plastic housing for the starter button has pretty well crumbled. It's next to impossible to find a reliable replacement. Does anyone know of a suitable substitute, or of a replacement? Most M/C parts shops salvage parts, but do not guarentee them to work. Any help appreciated.

1973 Honda 350 engine in a go-kart?
I think you'll find that all the CB450 Hondas probably had identicalswitches, and probably a number of other models as well. In fact you could probably install a throttle grip from any modern machine that has a 7/8 inch diameter bar size. However, something from a different model may or may not have the same electrical connection. Even so, the typical right hand switch is throttle housing, kill switch, and starter button and therefore should not be a big problem to wire up.
