I have 4 years ago and the Pyrnees, Never missed a beat great bike, wrap up well,invest in a pair of "Sealskinz" waterproof socks,about £25 in an outdoor shop and a pair of heated grips, knee warmers or heavy woolen legwarmers will make it all the more enjoyable

Nope but did it on a 1000RX many moons ago, highly recommended. The Transalp would be a decent bike to do it on especially if you are doing a lot of the high passes which are on quite narrow twisty roads. It would be a blast.
