Question:
I have replaced the exhaust system already, and re jetted it for that.
Now I am planning on getting a K&N or similar performance air filter and need to know if re jetting is going to be necessary for that as well? Thanks.

You should not have to rejet for a new air filter. You may have to richen the mixture.Any one know where i can view colour charts (want to paint my bike) online .cant find one anywhere?

Will I need to make adjustments to my vehicle after I install a K&N filter or intake kit?
On fuel injected vehicles the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) computer and emissions control system will adjust for the increase in air. The OEM computer will adjust immediately if it is reset. Removing the battery cable from the battery for 15 minutes or more should reset it. On some carbureted models you may have to richen the mixture when switching from a paper filter to a K&N air filter or intake kit.

Hi Alan,I would say it depends on how much you rejetted with the exhaust system change, if you went rich enough then the new airfilter may not require further jetting, and of course if you are borderline lean the new airfilter will require more rejetting.
You didn't say what bike you have or what exhaust system, some bikes can be more finicky than others.

Yeah, you have to re-jet if you replace both the filter and the exhaust with high performance stuff, otherwise you will burn a hole through the top of your pistons. How can I make adjustments to the suspension of a Kawasaki Ninja 250?

Word to the wise on K&N air filters..
When you're letting in all that extra air, you are also letting in all that extra dirt. You will shorten the life of your rings.
full rejet.maybe not. tweaking the jet settings; i'd say very possible. what i would do is, put in fresh plugs after u put the new air cleaner on, run for about 20 miles. pull the plugs. if they are ash grey, ur a bit lean, but not engine damaging lean. if they're a golden tan, ur basically spot on. as long as they're neither paper white or coal black, u'll do good.
