25 seconds.I had just bought a used Honda CB400 and the guy dropped it off at my flat. I had no idea how to ride. I just jumped on the thing with all my buds gathered around (it was a Friday night party at my off-campus apartment).
I started it, let it idle. Once it was warm, I put it in gear and let the clutch out. Wheee! I ran it straight into a bush, trying to stop it with my feet! I jumped off and the bike slowly crashed to the ground with the motor running.
See, I didn't know where the brakes were!
I have never dropped a bike since, and that was seven or eight bikes and 30 years ago. I have fallen several times due to weather (ice, wet, snow) and once due to road conditions (a coat of sand over asphalt), but never again have I just "dropped it".

A little less than a year. Wet mist and sand on a curve. Next thing I know is the bike is flipping all over the place and I have a good view of the asphalt. Too close, if you know what I mean.The last was a front tire blow out on the expressway. Sold it the next day

about a monthSQUID question... I bet most people who ride have never dropped their bike (except in the dirt). If you mean "layed it down", that's a horse of a different color. But, most real bikers that I know don't usually jump on a damn Hayabusa or GSXR as their first bike either, that being the mark of a true squid.. Most idiots are so scared of looking like a toy they actually BECOME one by purchasing a bike bred for the track as their VERY FIRST street bike... ha... ha ha...

I dropped mine the second day, but only because a pedestrian stepped out in front of me and I chose to hit the curb instead of him. No big deal though, just a couple of scratches on the mirror and a couple of bruises on me. I learend a VERY valuable lesson:

Pedestrians move less predictably than vehicles because they are smaller, because they ALWAYS have the right of way and they know it, they ALWAYS expect you to not hit them.
Never dropped it!! Only crashed it against some stupid chick on a scooter about an year after i bought it.

My first bike was a smallish Hyosung GV250 cruiser. It came equipped with a center stand in addition to the kick stand. Even though the bike weighed in at less then 400 lbs, I could never get it up on its center stand on level ground. Always needed a small incline to get some gravity assist. Anyway, the first and only time I dropped my bike was in a level parking lot trying to get the bike up on its center stand (just horsing around with the toy). I lost control for a split second which caused some minor scraps on the underside of my exhaust pipe. I was able to manhandle the lightish bike right back up before it fully went down hard.Whats the best website for used motorcycles?
About a month. I dropped mine the first time I tried to put it on the centerstand.I laid mine down in the first month. I wasn't paying as close attention as I should have been. It was at a low speed. No damage to me, but there was some minor damage to the bike.
