Question:
I didnt get the owners manual because i could not carry it with me, i will tomorrow. As i was riding tonight the temperature seemed a bit high(maybe not) It was at about 220 degrees F. Is this normal or should i stop riding and have a mechanic look at it? Please help so i dont ruin my bike... thanks

I have a 2006 gsxr 1000 whats better turbo or noz?
215-225 in stop and go traffic is normal where i live (this is hawaii, so temperature is v. moderate all year), 180-190 on the freeway... this is on a gixxer750. So it sounds fine to me. Check your coolant levels to be safe! If it ever rises into the 230's... then it is running hot and you should take a closer look. If you see 240 you have a problem and should try not to ride the bike until you can fix it. In any case there is no need to take it to a mechanic... cooling problems arent that difficult to troubleshoot yourself.edit 3/10: if you want your bike to run cooler, try putting water wetter in your coolant instead of antifreeze... i've heard really good things about that product and you should be able to get it at any decent bike shop
Motor bike events in northern england from april06th to april 10th 2007?
if you were in traffic it should be ok as long as it drops when you get up to speedwell how far did you ride? were you stuck in traffic how many miles on the bike if trhe bike is in good shape i would not worry just make sure there is coolent in it. i have a gsxr and the fans dont even kick on until 220 i think so i would not even worry about it. ( just ride faster !! )
Call the dealer and don't ride until they tell you if it's running hot or not. Sounds real hot to me.
It should be less than 195 degrees.
It cooler may not have been filled up during the prep at the shop when put together.
That is WAY 2 HOT!, do you have the choke out ?
