in the late 80s i had a 650 virago. it was grreat..shaft drive..no messing eith chains.. Fast ,not to noisy but sounded good...and looked great...Not heavy like a hoghow do you do a pop a wheelie on sport motorcycles?
the only problem with the virago is the starter reduction gear you might start hearing a grinding noise when you start it other than that expensive *** repair its a good bike1998 suzuki gsxkr 750 is it worth buying for 1500?
Great Bike. Had a '94 and miss the hell out of it. Only problem I had was the speedo cable backed itself loose at the front wheel. Not a great 2 up bike. Unless you both weigh about 100lbs each. The bike will bottom out on the rear suspension with 2 people. Take care of it and it should last you a good long while. Have fun and watch the other guy!Good starter bike, small, yet not too embarrasing to drive. Ride it for about 4-6 months (as long as you put 500+ miles a month) and then sell it for what you paid and move up. They're reliable and fairly smoot for a "small" bike. Don't bother to "customize" it as you'll be throwing your $$$ away!
Listen to BP hes right these are an ideal learners bike keep it 1 up and it will last ages or until you upgrade, cant think of any disadvantages as a learner bike.
