I know its practically confident without a helment because the helmet is big and its difficult to see both the sides which vechile is passing by and more over in the night it is very difficult to ride the bike with an helment on because the head light or the high beam lights is very powerful and a person cant see.But my friend I feel wearing an "Helmet" is very good becuase it saved me from an accident and i only hurt my hand and my leg got stitches.Dont you think life is very precious,I know it has got lots of disadvantages but it can save every one s life.Espically in summer becuase its very very hot,there might be chances of losing the hair..(I dont know if its true or false some of my friends told me that)

no.. that's not the case. ur vision is not at all restricted... though hearing ability goes down a bit.. but that does not affect ur responses. helmets even save ur eyes from drying up ... there can't even be an argument about it... you should wear helmets.. if not for safety then for comfort at least.What's the top speed of a yamaha ttr 225?

i once had a really bad accident on a bike ,luckly i was wearing my helmet ...the scratches on the helmet looked like someone had taken a screwdriver to it,,they were deep from forehead to chin ,and i doubt i would be here typing this now had it not been for wearing mine .

No...i wud mind losing a few degrees of vision than risking my life on road.Naturally if you could have some invisible force shield around your head, it would be a lot better than a helmet. But we'll save that for the sci-fi movies.

Helmets are way more comfortable and lighter than they used to be. I don't feel that a well-fitting helmet restricts your vision. You have approximately the same side-to-side view as you would without it.

I won't ride without one. I have had two incidents where I attribute my helmet to saving my butt. Once, a truck threw up a rock or something and I git hit in the head. There was enough of a gouge on the helmet that I know I would have been injured (probably enough to lose control of the bike). And the second was a fall which actually cracked the helmet. I'm sure my head would not have enjoyed bearing the brunt of that impact.

Now, the safety issues aside...A helmet also keeps the wind out of your face, keeps bugs, rain, grit from smacking you, and cuts down on noise. And your eyes don't dry up either.
So, this all boils down to.Even if my view were a bit restricted, and the helmet was twice as heavy and uncomfortable, I would still wear it because I don't like busting my head open.

You do have better peripheral vision without a helmet, however what good will that vision be if your head is smashed in? lolThe truth be told I often do not wear a helmet (I drive a Harley, and it's not cool) so I guess I cannot be that judgemental. I do wear a helmet on longer drives where I need greater protection and less peripheral vision.

i have ridden with and without a helmet up to an including interstate speeds. and tho there is a more freedom like feeling going lid free, i enjoyed the ride alot more with the helmet. it cut down the noise of the windblast, and kept the bugs/rocks from being forcibly driven into my forehead.

high speed downage would be up to the road gods on if u live...helmet or no helmet. but low speed crashes...even at parking lot speeds, can be more than enough to cause a severe if not fatal head injury. think of it this way; u are behind a semi on i-95...or whatever interstate. speed at typical 65, and this truck loses a stone from between the 2 tires. if that thing smacks u at 65, u aint gonna just lose control of the bike.u will go down about as quick as if someone just shot u, and god knows what u'll bounce into as u are playing a game of freeway pinball.with u as the ball.
it doesnt hinder the view all that much. the object is to stay alive long enough to get home. not to be lookin all over the place instead of what's in front of u. situational awarness..learn it.live it..use it.
