Question:
Whilst riding, the I experience momentary power loss (i.e if im going at 90, speed drops to 80 without release of throttle then climbs back up again.
Boy has a kx 85 and i was wondering what fork oil to use and how much and how to drain it?
Tested this on several straight flat roads. I have been riding this bike, everyday along the same set of roads for the past year so I am certain its not cos I am going uphill or the road is bumpy.
Clutch plate and sprockets and chain are all fine, not NEW, but checked them out and they are only very , very slightly worn.

When set to neutral, throttle is smooth all the way till I open throttle fully. It also drops immediately on release of the throttle.

Fuel consumption has gotten slightly worse since this problem started, but only slightly. Power has decreased somewhat. (i.e accelerating out of traffic lights is a little slower)

My guess would be sticky floats, If the floats stick or are out of adjustment it will interfere with the float bowl filling at higher demand.
To you HOG riders out there. Engine heat, and how to lower the temp.?
2nd guess would be debris in the float bowl, even the smallest piece of debris sucked up against the main jet is enough to mess with fuel delivery.
Oil drain plug on my Ninja is stripped. What can I do?
I myself would remove the plug or bowl and do an inspection and cleaning and if you've got the specs check how you floats are hanging.

Timing could be too far advanced.Have you checked the oil?Check the simple stuff first, like fuel delivery to the carburetor. Remove and clean the fuel filter and check for any debris in the fuel tank.
