Pull off your stator cover. you will see the flywheel. on the bottom of the case, inside the flywheel area, there will be a mark on the case, and in the stator itself, there will also be a mark, loosen the boly slightly, and make sure the 2 marks line up. tighten the bolts, recheck to make sure after tightening, the alignment didnt go off, reassemble the flywheel cover, then go ride.......good luck.
What kind of battery tender i should get for a ninja 250?
--The timing is set at the factory and should never need checking/adjusting unless the stator has been removed from the engine.--A quick check - either remove the flywheel or look through the cutouts. The 3 screws that mount the stator to the engine should be right in the center of the mounting holes (if the stator has been removed before, there should be indents from where the screws were originaly mounted. Line up the stator with those indents).
--Timing light - start the engine and let it idle. Shine a timing light at the flywheel. The timing line on the flywheel should line up with a raised casting, or indent in the crankcase.
