the best and safest way is to keep youre visor in top condition and keep it clean, water will tend to fling off with the wind blast,a scratched and dirty visor will hold the water.be carefull of 'rain off' and other such products as they were designed to be used on glass and they will react with your visor, they might not do any visable damage but the visor will become brittle instead of been flexable.the smaal wiper ring that the others have mentioned ic an excellent product,i think arai do one and it costs about 4pounds.What is the normal idle speed for a 1982 Yamaha 400 X(?) use the car instead !seriously , I ride all year , just for fun, have done since `62.
we all use an anti-mister which adhere`s to the inside of the visor. the trouble is , no matter what you use , because of condensation inside the visor , you will never stop it misting up, but by not closing the visor tight , the air flow will help reduce the problem. Many years ago , in fact it was in the sixties , you could buy a thing called a Turbo Visor , it was circular in shape , and it spun furiously when riding .No rain spots , no misting. I think I`m right in saying it was advertised in all the bike press by the then world 350 cc champion a one Jim Redman from S. Africa . In all the years biking , never actually saw one being used though !.
