Question:
Hi there, I tried to start my y2k gsxr 600y this morning, note I tried, it usually needs about 1/2 choke in the winter to fire up, but there was no resistance in the choke lever as though the cable had broken, so no way was it gonna fire up, luckily I borrowed my girlfriends bike also a Gsxr. I havn't had chance to go out and have a look yet and its too dark now, does anyone know how easy it is to replace the choke cable?
Many thanks Tony

2006 HD Roadking only gets 35 MPG. Are you getting better on yours? How much better?
I have replaced a choke cable on a 99 gsxr600 and that was easy first take off the seat should be two bolts under the rear corners of seat and then remove tank then unscrew choke housing and it will look fairly obvious it then connects to a metal slider make sure that you route the cable as it came off other wise you r choke may come on when you turn the bars on full lock.More Questions & Answers ...
