You generaly can adjust the hight of the shift lever. All you need to do is tighten or loosen the connecting screws. It's alot like adjusting the breaks on your bicycle. If this doesn't work then you should return the boots because a new shift lever will cost you about $100. Your best bet is to buy motorcycle shoes, not boots. leave them out in the sun for a day or two. Then wear them around all day for awhile.They need to break in or you can get in serious trouble trying to shift properly.You do often times have to adjust the shifter to accomodate racing boots. The boots will break in soon enough also.
