Question:
I am taking the MSF (Motorcycle Safety Foundation) Course this upcoming spring break and I am already looking for a nice starter cruiser bike. I have some parameters that will influence my choice:
-Under $6,000
-Must be able to handle Chicago Interstate and country highway without getting sucked under semi's or blasted by wind
-At least 490 cc
Anyone else out there who rides a scooter and is Female and 50?
Currently I am looking at the Kawasaki Vulcan 500 LTD and the Honda Shadow VLX, but leaning more towards the Vulcan in terms of price and highway handling. Can I get some reviews/suggestions?
Answers:
I have a 1974 cb 750,where can I get a kit to build it up to 820 or more?
I learned to ride on a Shadow 500 and now own a Vulcan 750. They are both good solid bikes that will last a lifetime with the proper maintenance. Personally I would go with the Vulcan 750 for two reasons, 1. it's a slightly bigger bike and thus heavier making it more difficult for a semi to blow you around, and 2. I do not like the way the Shadows now look. Honda seems like they cannot decide between a Harley style or a V-star style, the combination just does not appeal to me. One word of caution, if you do get a Vulcan make sure to check the differential for proper greasing, it is common for them to not have enough or the right type of grease in the gears, mine is being replaced at the moment. My bike wont start, its completely dead?
Shoot hon, you can buy my Magna! I'm conveniently located in Milwaukee and I'm going to be listing it for sale this spring for $4,000.UK: Motorcycle Number plate - what size does it need to be under new UK rules brought in this year?
The great thing about the Magna is that unlike other cruisers/street bikes, it's a V4. So you've got a little more oomph. I just think it's a fantastic bike all around; a naturally low seat height, not overly heavy, well-balanced..
How can i increase the mileage of my 2 wheeler?
I know we're not supposed to post things for sale, so I'll say no more. But if you're interested, email me for more info.
