How much risk do you want to take that it might die on you?
How much money do you have on hand?
How old it is?
How it tests?

You can get it tested for free some places, and some have a little window that shows a green light/ color if it is still good.

If you live somewhere warm, your battery will last you a lot longer than in really cold places. In the winter if it is really cold, your battery has way way less charge and will not start your car if it is "weak/old". IN a warm climate, you would start the car, and it would last longer.
So, is the battery still starting up the vehicle? likely so or you would not ask.

So I would recommend checking it after about three years to see how well its holding up. If you're having problems getting the car to start or having other problems I'd get the car checked out right away. I'm not sure what climate you're living in, but where I'm at its pretty cold out right now and you don't want a car that's stubborn about starting where I'm at.
