Question:
Hi i have one year old Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTSi bike which has run 6000 kms (my average run is of 5 kms daily). I get it serviced on time. Recently, i have started experiencing a problem. When i start my bike its works fine, the race & pick up also looks fine. But while driving, when i press the clutch lever (when in 3,4 or 5th gear) and apply brake bike's ignition stop. However, if i get to neutral first and then apply brakes the bike's ignition does not stop.
Best motorcycle for long-distance, beginning riders?
I have to keep racing while the clutch lever is pressed and i am braking to avoid stoping of ignition. Consulting the Bajaj Service center, the answer was bike is MISFIRING, the mechanic adjusted something and said the problem is solved. However, it is not. Please HELP!
Answers:
Take the bike to another Bajaj dealer. The problem is not as serious as the mechanic said. And the engine is NOT misfiring!
Apparently, I don't think, there is any major issue with your bike.
I have a feeling that, you have a loose cable somewhere, (may be cable in your engine start switch) which is getting pulled whenever you are applying the brakes or clutch lever.
Run a check on harness and cables. Check whether it is loose at any joint.
Or it is also possible that, your mechanic has wrongly routed the cables, resulting in excessive pull for the cables.
Check it...
Else an experienced mechanic is other option...
