1978 Kawasaki 650 wiring short?

The fuse keeps blowing.How can I properly search for the short useing a test meter?

Hi Don,
Basically you unplug all the systems and reconnect them one at a time till the fuse blows again and then you have at least narrowed the search down to a specific circuit. Some of the more common ones on bikes are taillight wires rubbed under the rear fender, broken wires near the steering head due to flexing, and shorted stator winding. You didn't say if it was a specific fuse or the main fuse. Contact me if you have anymore questions.
