Bronsonbags with windshield?

Question:
Any body have one of these I would like some imput on this before spending the money , How about how you like riding with windshield verses without windshield ,Never cared that much for the looks of windshield but these florida Bugs feel like rain they are so bad , /Peace

i have a detachable windsheild for my bike, and altho i catch a bit of flack for putting a sheild on a sportster, i prefer to have it on. 95% of the wind blast will be vectored over ur head, and quite a bit of the bugs will be also. some will wind up getting thru tho, so i strongly advise to always wear eye protection.
never ever use any harsh cleaners on a windsheild. before u do ur first ride, put a good coat of pledge on it. the reason is, the bug remains will come off 10x's easier after that. wash the windsheild ONLY with soap and water...never ammonia or anything like that. bugs come off with ease if u take a towel that is soaked in very hot water, and put it on the windsheild for about 5-10 mins. the bugs will be able to be practically sprayed off.

the windshield shouldnt be too tall either. u should be able to see over the windsheild by at least 2" from about 10'. top of the windsheild should be roughly nose height.

now about the bag. do u have a medium height sissy bar on the bike? u could get 1 of these and put it on the passenger pad and secure it to the turn signals with the first round of web straps, and 'finish it off' using the velco straps to the sissy bar. would probably be even cheaper this way also. http://www.motoleather.com/10-2110.html...

Preferring 4 wheels to 2 I didn't understand your question till I saw the whole thing. Can't imagine driving into a swarm without a windshield but the flip side is that you will have to stop down the road and scrap the windshield clean while a layer of bug bits on your face will actually provide some armour. Keep it shiny side up.
