You must mean motorcycle helmets - as I've ridden a bike for over 40 years now without a helmet and never had a problem. I think that things get too carried away with government making too many laws. Why do we have to wear a seatbelt in the car, but a motorcyclist doesn't have to wear a helmet?

No, some people believe that the benefit of the feeling of the wind in your hair and the freedom of letting people choose their own lifestyle is more valuable than feeling safe and secure. I don't understand that people who want to feel safe and secure is constantly trying to project their lifestyle on to other people, like mothering everyone. Its like mandating that everything that is bad for you is illegal. But some of us...like fast food, smoking, riding without a helmet, and not going to the gym. So why don't you let us be.

a guy in my neigborhood came by, and his hair was shaved off and there were hideous surgery scars and bruises all over his head and limbs. we asked him what happened and he said that he was in a motorcycle accident and wasn't wearing a helmet.
