An exhaust and rejetting your stock carb will give you a pretty good gain, you should expect 4 -6 with this mod alone. If you want 12 extra ponies though, you are going to have to go internal. Higher compression piston and a cam. This combined with the exhaust and you could easily get 12 extra horsepower without sacrificing to much reliability. The only real downside is that you will no longer be able to run pump gas, you will have to switch to race fuel.
