Question:
Hi guys, my throttle on my Bandit GSF 600 S seems to be 'sticky', when I pull it all the way around it takes its time to return to position when I let go, it was like this when i bought it, on my previous bikes the throttle just snaps back, the grips are not in contact with anything, what could be the problem?

Sticky throttles are usually from a dirty or rusty cable. I would start there, take cable off and put some "cable lube" in it. Then check the return spring on the carb. Also the carb might be dirty so buy a can of carb cleaner and spray it strait into and on the carb to make sure that all parts are moving freely. Also make sure that the "tension screw" is not screwed in to tight. This should get you started, good luck, donAnother question? if i kept hotwiring my bike, could i damage it?
never mind trying to lube the cable just go down and buy a new throttle cable install the thing and be done with it dirty or rusty cable is what you haveHow do i get my parents to let me get a dirt bike?
Good answers from the other two guys, also check the routing of your cables! If they are pinched or kinked in a funny way it can cause drag within the sheath!Where was valentino rossi born?
Good luck!
All the above are probably the top reasons. Also check that your carbs aren't out of alignment or covered with spooge. There could be dirt in the throttle handle. (Is the end of the handgrip open or cut?) Is the handlebar perhaps bent? (When the bike fell on the right side and damaged that handgrip, did the bar get a burr or a slight bend?)
If you do all the above and it's still acting up i would say your carb slide is gummed up.The carb cleaner should help that. That about all it can be.Make sure before you put the new cable on that your carb throttle body is spring back like it should.
Can you put moto cross handle bars on a street bike?
Cleaen the throttle tube first! It's the plasic tube your'e grip is on. make sure the handlebar is clean too. Use carb. cleaner, paint thinner or gas. Then look to the other suggestions if that doesn't solve the problem!More Questions & Answers ...
