After 2 years you can ride any machine you want to.
If you are over 21 you can take the "direct access" test. This is where you take the test on a "big" bike of 46.6 bhp (35kw). This will give you a full licence immediatley.

Check your states DMV regs. When I got the endorsement years ago, back when Christ was foot soldier, there were no such limits in New York. In Michigan there is no such limit either at this time. My sons took the test on a Sportster and currently run 1000cc machines.Here in Pa., you can ride any size you can safely fit on. There are no restrictions on engine size or HP., but as a novice rider, you should skip the psycho bikes & stay with a smaller bike 125cc-250cc till you get familiar with motorcycles & how they handle & what it feels like to ride in traffic.
