yes they have to have a projection pattern IE the beam has to point away from oncomming trafficwhen on full beam and the dip beam must conform to the height pattern of the mot.

yes they do, also you could have no front lights and just get a daylight mot, but this means you cannot ride after lighting up time, for 1 its illegal and 2 you will crash!

In the USA, as long as the bike has a 2 beam headlight (high & low beam) it will pass inspection. There is a law on the books that require the headlight have a specific candle power (light intensity and there is a gauge for this test). Every motorcycle inspection station that I know of, either doesn't have the gauge or they don't waste their time using it.

The only exception from the point os view of an MOT is not to have lights firred at all and the test is then carried out and noted as for daylight use only with no lights fitted

This still makes the bike perfectly legal to ride with the daytime restriction and the MOT test is still valid

Bajaj Pulsar 150 (2005) Model...?

Yes the headlight has to have a lens with what they call a def-user which breaks up the light intensity
it makes the beam horizontal so it does not glare in the eyes of on coming motorists, also it should have a dip and the lens must configure with regulations , that is to say it should dip down and to the left in country's were they drive on the left and down and to the right in country's that drive on the right, if it does not have a dip then the light needs to be set on permanent dip
