Question:
My last bike was a K100-LT and was a great tourer but too heavy. I only really ride for a half-hour at a time but really enjoyed the comfort of the BMW. I'm 6ft 1in so need a big bike and don't want to get sore too quick. Do racing bikes give you sore wrists and back? I don't really ride fast but obviously want a bike that I can push from time to time.
I want a balance between rider comfort/ feeling of being in control of the bike/ and speed (in that order). Any suggestions?

Can you help me plan a motorcycle ride from Key West to Boston?
I have a K1200RS, Busa, ZX6R, and a V-rod. What do I ride most of the time? The K1200. Great all around motorcycle but I have done 5-600 mile days on most of them.Does anyone know how much to airbrush my V-Rod helmet?
But you asked about different bikes. Any of these bikes can be modified to fit your body, within reason of course. For your requirements I would pick the VFR. It's a bit larger than the others and a decent all around bike. It's also considered a sport tourer rather than an all out sport bike. Tons of aftermarket accessories too.
Do you like a motorcycle rider?
ALTHOUGH I HATE HONDAS, they are the best sport bike to fit what your looking for...this really hurts me to say, i own a gsx-r 750 and have had a r-6 , r-1, gsx-r 600, and a busa (hated that bike)Since you put comfort first The vfr is your choice, but since you only ride 30 minutes at a time i think your priorities are wrong.
I'm pretty tall, and don't fit very comfortably on supersports. So I would say go with the VFR; it's more of a sport-tourer compared to the GSXR or YZF. Also, you might want to take a look at a Katana, SV650, Ninja 650, or maybe even a DL650 V-Strom or BMW F800. Sit on a few for a long time and see what's comfortable for you.
