Anyone own a modern Triumph T100 Bonneville?

i'd start with a used one first in case you drop it since its your first bike. i know i dropped mine a lot to begin with.buy a used one. that way you won't cry when you drop it. then buy a new victory.

It's pretty heavy. While you won't have as much trouble with it as someone 5'4", this is still a lot of bike for a beginning rider. If you accidentally drop it (not necessarily crashed - I'll admit to once getting off my bike and only then realizing I had forgotten the sidestand), can you easily pick it up? Will you be able to shrug off having scratched up a new and expensive cruiser?If the answer to either question is no, I'd recommend a different bike - a lighter one, preferably a used one which has already racked up some dents and dings. If you like cruisers, one in the 500-750 cc range may be a better first bike.

once you get this bike and feel the power of it you will try and race someone. It is real quick off the start my buddy always tries to race choppers and harleys with his. And i have yet to see him loose. And they are very pretty bikes. After you add pipes all you have to do is hit the gas and the back tire will break loose.
