I want a 100cc scooter. I am over 30 and have held an NSW Australian drivers licence for 6 years.?
i met a girl from canada that owns an 883 and she has over 65,000 miles on the scoot and it's only 2 or 3 yrs old.an 883 will go anywhere u want it to go, all u need is the proper gear so u can do the ride. saddle bags to stow gear, engine guard with highway pegs to be able to put ur feet in a different position, windsheild to lessen the tiring effects of the windblast, and top it off with a sundowner seat. i have a sundowner seat on my sporty, and i can roll 400 miles no problem in a day. the bike will go as far as u want it to go. there's alot of people who prefer the nimbleness and gas economy of the sportsters vs the big v-twins.
How much would I pay for motorcycle insurance in Hawaii?
no way. take it anywhere. 883 is jus tthe motor size, which in itself is a LOT bigger than a lot of motorcycles. Besides EVO Harleys are good stuffYou're going to be the weakest link when touring. That engine can handle (easily) thousand + mile days, and well over 100k miles of use with basic maintenance.
Anyone know where I can find ART road legal SV cans in the UK?
For reference, there are people out there who've compeated in the Iron Butt Rally (11,000 miles in 11 days) on a Kawasaki 250cc bike. If a 250 can handle that kind of work (and Much, much more), you have nothing to worry about with the 883 motor. Just keep on top of the maintenance.
cleaning exaust carbon out of motorcycle? HELP!?
Nah.......Your bike will be be fine. You may be a little saddle sore and stiff but the motor will be the least of your worries if you are going any distance.......At least get some highway pegs on it. Happy Trails!who would you let ride with you on the back of your motorcycle?
if you are not in a hurry! and under 200 pounds. Preferably a girl!I am 5-10 220. I have ridden hundreds of sporty's. as a pro mechanic. I feel they are too small for my liking and would never consider a coast to coast trip on any stock 883 sporty.
Like Brian said YOU WILL BE THE WEAKEST LINK in riding everywhere you desire. The bike will take you as far as your butt can handle it. Congratulations on your choice of motorcycles. It will hold its value longer than any other brand made. Of course sonner or later you will want something bigger and Harley offers it all. So stick with them p.s. you might want to invest in a Mustang or other aftermarket seat as the softer the seat the less saddle sore ya get
will silicone hold my exhaust on my scooter?
Hi, your bike will handle the miles a whole lot better than you will. Sportys aren't exactly built for comfort. They also don't like to be run at more than 65mph for long periods of time. I have A 1200R and I rode it as primary transportation last summer (10K miles). Problem is after 3 or so hours you'll get real sore. You should set the bike up to be as comfortable as possible, or better yet, trade it for an 07' softail classic. Really though, forward foot controls and maybe a detachable wind shield will make long trips a whole lot easier. Good luck.how much was a lambretta scooter sx150 in 1970?
The bike itself will be no problem. As long as you are comfortable yourself with spending a day in the saddle, go ahead and tour on it. I personally know a few people who have completed thousand-plus mile trips on 500 cc bikes without any damage. And since Harleys have belt drives, you don't have to worry about things like a chain that demands maintenance every 600 miles.where to modify my unicorn in engine i live in delhi?
Nothing against harleys, but for what you are paying for a 883 for a 3 grand or so more you can buy a real big metric cruiser that will be more comfortable, and probably be a 1300 or a 1500 size bike. I have a 1500 Suzuki LC Intruder I paid 10 grand out the door it is the most comfortable bike I have ever ridden, and I have been all over the country with it.best temp to apply rim tape on my 06 gixxer?

be ok.the engine will last a long long time.i would suggest
the 1200 conversion.has long has you are in the 150 to 180 lbs
range you will be ok. foreward controls help out alot.don't
forget a newer seat.now start ridin.
does anyone know where i can get a motor w tran for an 1990 fzr 600 yamaha?
While the Sporty is not exactly a great touring bike it gan be done The evo motor is very durable and a hell of a lot more reliasble than the old shovel heads were. The only drawback to the sporty is that it is not as comfortable to ride long distances with as the Big twins are. The worst bike for tournig are the crotch rockets. they become very uncofortable to ride for any long distancesIs the new pulsar 250 really a 250 cc bike or a 220 cc bike? and when is it ging to hit the roads?
The engine size isn't a problem, we used to tour on much smaller bikes before the 'big bore' craze.I feel that a good touring bike should not be as short and tall as a Sporster. The engine should be smoother, too.
