What is the best sport bike for a first time rider?

Question:

Is it possible to drive a scooter legally alone with a provisional license?

dont bother with the sport bike. they dont travel well. get a cruiser and u'll have alot more fun. i see this posted quite often, but some just wont get the message when others say to avoid the 600cc and up in sport bikes. anything that's 600cc and up in a sport bike will definately kill a rookie. make just 1 mistake, and it will put u down hard. if u live, u got spared by the road gods.

First time riders shouldn't ride sport bikes.

How old do you have to be to get a motorcycle permit in the state of ohio?

A first time rider should take the MSF course, buy a good used naked bike with no plastic and centered ergos, for example a Kawasaki EX500 or Suzuki SV650 or Triumph Bonneville. Then use that bike for a year and under no circumstances carry any passengers during that time.

Once you get the experience and miles under your belt, then sell the used bike and get whatever you really want.

Piaggio Diesis 1oo scooter?

Sport bikes are very unforgiving machines. They have a lot of power, quick-turn throttles, very sensitive brakes, quick steering and if you make a mistake you have a much lower chance of recovering on one. They also have lots of very shiny & expensive plastic which will break the first time you drop it - which almost all newbies do.

Have fun, ride safe and stick with it. Good luck!

A question for metric riders who are not Dickheads!?

You might want to start with a Kawi Ninja 250. This bike has a less aggressive riding position than most sportbikes and it handles very well for a beginning rider.

How to set the timing on a Kawasaki en500?

The drawbacks of a Ninja 250 are that it's a very small bike and a larger or heavier person may not be comfortable with it.

Honda 125 ss?

It's inexpensive (especially if you get a used one) and it holds it's value well so when you are ready for a larger bike you can recover most of your money.

I would like to purchase a Bike From Where should i purchase Either from PUNE or from MUMBAI?

It doesn't have a lot of plastic to break. (And a beginner should remove as much plastic as possible until they are comfortable with the bike anyway...unless you have plenty of money to replace it.)

The Ninja 250 is my favourite "learner" bike.

Yamaha parts madness?

The ninja 250 or vtr250 are good beginner bikes, if you buy used at a decent price you can usually sell for what you paid for it if and when you want to move up. There are other larger bikes you could start on such as a gs500 ex500 seca II etc. But since you're a first time rider I'd stay away from 600cc super sport bikes such as CBRs R6s etc as these bikes are quite fast and not forgiving off novice inputs.

How can i start a new motorcycle chapter in wis.?

Hey shakespear those little 250s will do 100mph and I'm sure I could whip your *** on a curvy road with one. A bigger bike can be used, and maybe you wont have to buy a bigger one in a year or two, but I've seen lots of people start with a faster expensive bike and either A. Get in trouble w/ power/weight and crash, or B. Tear up an expensive bike and have the repair bill. How many newbies start with a big bike and scare the bejesus out of themselves before they really learn to ride well? Horse Power can be a crutch to learning actual bike skills. Back in the day a 500cc triumph was a big bike. A ninja 250 is probably comparable to that in HP, plus its lighter. True newbies can start on zx14s and such but these sometimes become statistics the legislators want to throw at us to make you safe from yourself. Did you see that proposed 65 mph governor on bikes in the UK? wouldn't that be fun (sarcasm).

Hwhat is value of chituma 125cc motorcycle 2005 secondhand?

I started on an '01 Honda CBR600F4i. It wasn't a bad bike, but in retrospect I wish I had gotten an r6 or a gsxr instead. I found the power of a 600cc quite managable as a beginner rider. A 250cc ninja is basically a medium sized scooter with a clutch and shifter.

What is the e-mail of Valentino Rossi?

If you have no motorcycle experience, like dirt bike riding ect. I would reccomend a small bike like the EX-250. You may get bored with it really fast, but there will be mistakes made that with a bigger bike will get you into trouble. plan on stepping up after a few months, which is why you should look for a used 250. Some peoble jump right into it with a 600 or larger, but most I personally know that started on faster bikes, no longer ride motorcycles.

What are the rules and regulations for ownership of a Honda Monkey in the USA?

often i see this. some rookie who has never been on any type of bike wanting to immediately get on a crotch rocket. i also see many instances of others insisting the begginer jump on a race replica type bike as a starter.these are the ones that have an 'R' in the name including but not limited to: cbr600rr, gsxr, r-6, etc, and each and every time a rider that has some riding time comes over and tries to tell the rookie that they cant handle an r-1 or r-6, they constantly get thumbs down.

Is it possible to get a bike onto a swingarm stand with just one person, by yourself?

where i live, i see alot of sport bikes ridden by obvious beginners. usually, they have little or no type of actual riding gear. last year, i saw a girl ridin a rocket in a bikini and shoes. the only gear she had on was a helmet.

'Suzuki' (Jiancheng) Cougar 100. Where can I get a throttle cable to fit this bike?

next time ur in the dealer, sit on a few bikes and take a long hard look on the seating position the cbr, gsxr, r-1/6, the 'rr' bikes.if u do a serious look, u will note that most of ur weight will wind up on ur forearms when the bike starts moving. u will also see that u are practically sitting on the gas tank, there's not much of a real seat either. this seating position will become a nightmare to continue riding after about 150 miles or so.

I'm looking for an older small japanese motorcyle that is street legal for under $1000-any reccomendations?

lets get to the 'pro's': ability to lean up to 60 degrees. u could easily blast into a curve at 90 or 100 mph...if u have the skills.
ability to go from 0-60 in 3 seconds or less. makes it easy to get a ticket on also.

Kawasaki 440 wont start :(?

cons: these bikes will instantly do what the rider will tell it to do. they have extrememly razor sharp handling, and they will not forgive a typical rookie mistake. they will put u down if u make the wrong input.
the majority of crotch rockets is plastic and fiberglass. just dropping it from forgetting to put the kickstand down will wind up breaking or scuffing up parts that will be expensive to replace.
insurance costs will also be high...especially if u are under 25 and are male.

Are Honda motorcycles and ATVs cool? Or will I get razzed if I buy one...?

i would highly suggest u do some serious researching on how much the bike itself is going to cost u, the cost of good riding gear, and especially the cost of insurance; what might not be too bad on a 250 will be extremely high on a gsxr or other race replica type.
