Buying a Sport ATV?

Question:
Hi
I want to buy an ATV to have some fun on the weekends, but not sure where to start.
I am 6'0" 250 pounds, do you recommend any model in particular?
Is it a good idea to buy a pre-owned one?
Thanks!

Harley vs. Japanese big four. Which is better? Consider reliability and price only.?

Great fun, easy ride, low maintenance: Honda TRX400EX, Suzuki LTZ400, Yamaha Raptor 700 (probably best fit for your height).

What is the advantage of an aftermarket steering damper over the stock one on a '04 gsxr 750?

Really cheap for what you get: Yamaha Raptor 350 or Honda TRX300EX.

Kawasaki KLE 500 1992 Rear shock?

Keep in mind that your first quad is probably just going to be that, a first quad - after a year of riding, you'll find out what you like and don't like, and probably buy something that suits your style and needs better.

Does anybody know the correct amount of fork oil to put in a nsr125?

Unless you are racing, do not bow to pressure and purchase a Honda TRX450R, Yamaha YFZ450R, Suzuki LTZ450R. These are made specifically for racing, and do require more maintenance - plus they're not nearly as fun on a tight woods trial, or as comfortable on a 30-mile ride as the models listed above.

What is a good opening for my motorcycle speech?

first of all with your size i wouldn't get anything less than a 350. honda has a good rep, but i have never owned one. i use to have a 600 sportsman polaris. (very very powerful). i now own a 660 yamaha rhino side by side. although the rhino runs a little higher i much prefer it to the others. atv trader, craigslist and ebay could get you a good used atv. beware any atv that sounds like it is too good to be true, is. there are several scam artist that like use power sports equipment for their targets.

Question about breaking in a honda XR?

I would recommend the can-am outlander by bombardier. Being your size, i would say the 650 H.O. E.FI. would suit almost any need of yours. If you want no doubts, i would step up to the 800 H.O. With the most power, speed, and by far the most superior suspension set up, the can-am is definately superior to anything out there. Check out their website for more info! http://www.can-am.brp.com/en-us/vehicles...

Motorcycle buying question?

Since you are wanting a sport ATV then the Suzuki LT-Z400 is a very reliable bike. Honda also has a very reliable machine. It is the TRX400EX. Both of those atv's are very reliable, have plenty of power, and both of them have reverse. The Suzuki LT-Z400 has more power than the Honda TRX400EX. I warn you to not get a Polaris because they are cheaply made. If you are a casual rider then a used atv would be fine for you. But if you plan on riding your atv hard core then don't get a bike that is older than 2 years old.

Bike Magazine - coversheet...?

If you want a sport bike, DO NOT BUY A 400. You will regret it. Buy a Honda 450r or a Yamaha yzf450. For comfort and ease Honda. Perfomance Yamaha. It blows everyhting else away. Trust me. I've had both. another option for play is a 700 raptor. THey are very fun to ride, lots of power, and reliable. For your size and if you aren't going to race, this would be your best bet.
