My scooter has a 50cc carburetor in it, If I wanted to upgrade the carburetor to 150cc would it make it faster

u should steer clear of rockets untill u've had at least 1 full season of saddle time, and on all types of roads; from sweeper to twisty. 600cc's is deceptively powerful in water cooled bikes. they pack more of a punch vs a air cooled bike of the same size engine. + 8 out of 10 sport bikes are too powerful for a beginner to safely handle. they're designed to respond instantly to rider commands, even if it will cause the rider to go down. their power band is also touchy; grab a wristful of throttle at the wrong time, and it will get away from u. once u let a bike get away from u, u are at the road gods' mercy, and sport bikes by design make for rough long distance rides...150 miles and up in 1 sitting.

Whats the difference in a Harley and a Honda(FatBoy models)?

i ride a 1200cc sportster. i put on a sundowner touring seat, a detachable windshield, and i can easily cruise 400 miles.and on that day, i could have rode more, but i prefer to stay off the roads at night...deer and 2 wheelers just dont mix.
u would have a much easier time gettin the feel of the road if u ride a cruiser for at least 1 season. there's more to it than meets the eye. at least a cruiser will be alot more forgiving, and they'll give u more time to learn how to set up the curve. btw, the bigger the scoot, the more cushiony the ride; the bike's weight will soak up bumps alot better. once u start riding, u wont want to stop...but at the same time, u will soon find out what 'monkey butt' is. not very familiar with metric cruisers, but i can say that a sportster is a fun bike to ride. it's nimble and feels lightweight in the twisties, and its relitively cheap.

Bikers: do you ride with an MC or an MCC? Why?

I recently purchased a 2006 kawasaki ninja 636, my first bike ever, and I had no problem learning to ride and enjoy my bike..I would recommend that you take a rider course, it really does help, alot. Be Safe

What are the breaking distance for motorbikes?

DEPENDS ON YOUR HEIGHT AND WEIGHT BUT IN GENERAL, A 600CC IS VERY GOOD TO START OUT ON. IF YOU ARE TALL YOU'LL FEEL A BIT CRAMPED OVER TIME AND YOU'LL BE LOOKING TO GET A BIGGER BIKE SOON AFTER YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH RIDING. GOOD LUCK AND RIDE SAFE!

I have a 1999 CR 125 if I buy a 2000 model rear wheel can I put 1999 bearings in it and put it on my bike?

The Harley Davidson Sportster 2004 or above is an excellent first motorcycle.
They are powerful enough to travel safely on any highway and very easy to handle (Even an average women can handle a Sportster).
The 2004 and above are very easy to maintain and are extremely reliable.
The ancillary benefit is that Harley's are chick magnets as well.
~BTW~ there is a very large difference in insurance rates between cruisers and rockets as you will find out when you go to insure the bike.

Can anyone recommend bike-2-bike motorcycle radios?

That is what i would recommend. I started out on a ninja 500 and was bored with it in a month. go with a CBR or Kawasaki if you want something that is not to agressive. Good luck1!

Age requirements to be passenger on motorcycle?

Yes, a 600cc bike is a good start if you are looking at cruisers.
I would suggest looking into motorcycle courses and learning to ride, if you don't already. This will give you a feel of the power of a motorcycle and tell you if your ready to go higher than the usual 250cc they let you ride. Though a 250 is small for a cruiser unless you like a 120lb person that only rides like 5 miles to work.
If you're going to buy a 600cc and you are kind of tall, or heavy, I would suggest getting a used one, or at least a cheap one. Not junk, just something you can be willing to throw away in a few months or so, if you really are into it. As once you get into the motorcycles, and if you are big enough, 600cc will only take you so far, and you'll be ready to step it up a notch or two. Best of luck!

Spark arrester vs silencer??I have a 2 stroke ktm 300 came with 1 acerbis silencer& 1 answer spark arrester

i am 150 lbs female and never rode a bike before but always wanted to. i took the MSF course and bought a 600 VLX brand new and have never regreted it. i love my bike and i know starting with the 600 was the right bike for me. it has been reliable, low center of gravity, quick to respond, and comfortable to ride long distances. Good Luck in whatever you decide and be safe!
