Has anyone purchased 1 of those 4 stroke 4 wheelers?
Can't say about going back, haven't really left. Still got the Honda, supposed to be the winter bike. Still needs work, so I'm enjoying the Harley. I'm keeping the Honda, because I like my toys. Have to have something to hack up and put together again. I must admit I like the availability of not-so-expensive parts. As far as getting rid of the Harley... Never. It suits me. I don't race, so who needs 0-60 times? By the way, did I mention it doesn't leak a drop, unlike any others I had?cost for modification in karizma?
I have what makes me happy.
Be happy.
Anyone ride a Kinroad xt125-18?
Once you have upgraded, you will never go back.most people buy a japanese bike first because that is what they can afford. except for the sportster most harley's run in the $12,000+ range. then later when they can afford the harley they realize that is a mechanically inferior bike and go back to the much more reliable and still cheaper japanese bikes.
harley's are a beautiful machine but function and durability is not really their strong point.
WHat is better a Yamaha or Kawasaki sports bike?
once u put yer azz on some class, u wont ride anything else.suzuki gs850... what's the top mph?
Yep, some of these guys who are like, 20 and have had 1 or 2 bikes know WAY!! more than those of us who have been riding longer than they've been alive. One saying comes to mind"There is No! substitute for experience" Ride hard , Ride free ,Ride HD.How much to build a ladys Old School Chopper?
I've been riding 30 years-Got rid of My '80 Superglide awhile back in favor of the 1500 Kaw Drifter. More ponies for half the price-plus parts don't fall off/No leaks/Breakdowns. etc. Plus I think the Drifter is prettier. More of an original retro design than the cookie-cutter Harley FXSL-MNOPQRST mix-and match models. The true difference between the Metrics and the Harleys? Easy!
When I twist the Kaw's throttle-it goes FASTER instead of just getting LOUDER. :)

5 Harleys, all used, 3 required major work,
and none had many miles.
Last one had 1,400 miles and had an oil leak.
Fixed that then noticed an odd noise in engine.
Fixed that and promptly sold it.

Noisey pipes suck!
I agree with Doomsday....(I own 2 Drifters)....I HAVE ridden everything. I used to be one of the "sheep" who shopped for motorcycles like teenage girls shop for jeans (Its the MOST expense pair and EVERYBODIES wearing them). All it took was one ride on my pals "rice burner" and the harley was headed out the door. I can almost guarantee you that more people more from Harley UP to metric than the other way around....

How to keep the rear disc brake on my 88' katana motorcycle from locking up?
I agree, once you upgrade to a great metric it is hard to go back to your chrome pony HD.As a kid i started out on small imports with the dream of a Harley some day.Well that day came and what a rude awakening.Nothing but problems, lousy performance and headaches.Refusing to admit my folly i kept rationalizing that imports must be even worse, had to protect my ego you know. Finally good sense prevailed and i moved WAY up to a Kawasaki.I couldn't believe what a fool I had been all those years. When it was time for another upgrade I got a Vulcan 2000.Un real quality and performance.Eats anything Harley ever came up with for breakfast.
The boys at HD got a long way to go to ever get me back on one of their contraptions
How to get companies to sponsor a motorcycle expedition. I am also looking for a suitable buddy?
only the smart oneshow much horsepower does a 2000 kawasaki ninja 500 have?
I rode metric bikes but once I rode a Harley, that was it for the metric bikes. I have had no problems with my Harley, no oil leaks, no sitting on the side of the road broken down, no continuous repair bills. Just pure pleasure and fun. I know I'll never ride metric again. But that's just me. Everyone I know who has a Harley started on metric bikes. I don't know of anyone personally who started on a Harley and traded down to a metric.convert a honda cb750k into a bobber?
A Harley appears to be the Holy Grail of biking, and it is a quality motorcycle with a cultlike status. It's also very expensive. Look at all the motorcycle ads in the paper or craigslist - half of the "for Sale" are Harleys. This isn't a reflection of how good or bad they are, but people are just suckered into purchasing something they cannot afford.
No big deal for the dealers - they'll get you approved, get the money, and you get a bike that is over rated, over priced, and over-the-top when the payment book arrives.
I'll stay with Enfield. Nobody cares what they are...
Looking for a scooter side car to fit a CFMoto Fashion 250cc?
I'll stick with wy Harleys. FXRS,FXDWG,XLCH and all them other good numbers. If I didn't try all the others first I wouldn't be sure that Harley is the best.No going back for me.will a '93-'96 honda cbr900 eng. fit into my '93 cbr600 frame?
I started out with jap, and moving up in the jap line to a goldwing. Harley's are good bikes, but way over priced.what plastics will fit a 1989 ninja 600r?
Who gives a rat's *** about brands? I have been riding 30-years and have had many nice bikes. I've had some real nice Harleys and some real nice Jap bikes. I don't leave anything stock and it doesn't matter to me if it is the popular brand or not.In fact, that's the worst thing about riding a Harley these days is that you are suppost to be in some "lifestyle" club. Give me a break! Nice bikes but they have to shed the image they have gotten and that is going to take some years.
1986 Yamaha Radian Enrichment Curcuit Problem?
20-years from now when Harley isn't the popular brand with newbys anymore there will be some fantastic used bargins out there (20-year old used bikes with 20,000 miles on them) and that is probably when I will ride them again.
Only the dumb ones!
