Three Wheeler Trikes - how do they compare to the regular 2-wheel motorcycles for riding, etc?

Question:
What is a good website to learn more about them, price, etc?

Answers:

I searching for my first bike, I'm a beg. and am thinking about either a suzuki gs500 or kawasaki ninja 600.

Like the others are saying, a trike you turn like a car, no leaning. They are pretty stable on corners, you just have to hang on tighter and not be thrown off. A place in Daytona Beach called the Trike shop makes some of the best found. Stay away from the voyager setups. They aren't anything but a set of training wheels for a normal bike.

I live in Pa., and I am building a chopper out of an old motorcycle. Does any one how to get it inspected?

Well trikes look great but are very difficult to handle around curves.
Obviously you can't bank with a trike so they stay perpendicular to the road and it always feels like you are going to tip over when cornering.
They are also a real pain to back up (a real pain !) so if you get one make sure that you get one with a transmission that has a reverse gear.
I much prefer a 2 wheeler.
You would probably be better spending the extra money to buy a raked out chopper.

I'm 1,70 m,about 70 kg,fit;what SPORT motorcycle to start with?

A trike is a completely different.you have to steer it and it takes a little getting used to at first.Santiago Choppers makes some great looking trikes.I don't know of they show them on their web site or not.santiagochoppers@aol.com.S... of the new trikes are real works of art.

Champ motorbike?

trikes are for old men, girls and others who may not be physically fit to balance and/or operate controls with all four limbs.

Why buy a harley when you can buy a more reliable bike?

you can get a kit from a place called voyaguer that makes a trike kit that you just back your bike into. still gives ya some lean and you can take it off to go back to 2 wheels if ya want.

Sea Foam, Marvel Mystery Oil, Sta-Bil or something else; Which is best to clean out slightly gummed up carbs?

There is absolutely no comparison. A Trike you stear or drive like a car (by turning the handlebars)
A two wheel "motorcycle" you lean (not turning the handlebars)
The trike, requires no balancing and a motorcycle does. Motorcycle you have to put your feet down when stopped, a Trike you don't.
Trikes generally are more expensive overall, but much safer and easy to ride.

Do you think the standard of motorcycle servicing is very poor?

with a 2 wheeler, u just look, lean and roll. but on a trike, u literally have to throw ur weight into the turn. trikes look easy, but they are a completely different animal. in ohio, u would need a different test for a trike endorsement, and it even says...'3 wheeled motorcycle' on the endorsement section. a trike is also about 25.maybe 30 grand on the outside to buy new. dont get me wrong, they do look sweet, but for my riding style, i just couldnt deal with a trike.

Does anyone suffer from carb-icing on a suzuki bandit 1200?

I understand why people get trikes...but for me...once I can no longer ride a two wheeled bike, I will no longer ride. They seem more like 3 wheeled cars than motorcycles to me. Have you seen the decked out Gold Wing trikes? Might as well drive a motor home as one of them. Yuck!
