is there much difference between the two? or not really, i am going to repack which ever one i use. looking for performance not sound. also running a fmf gold series pipe. whats the skinny?

Nice bike! A silencer simply quiets the exhaust racket. A spark arrester is a wire screen that goes in the end cap and is required in most states for off road/ trail riding. Silencer only will give a slight performance advantage.
